COVID-19 Safety
COVID-19, for better or for worse, has become a daily reality for Canadians. Your safety is paramount to us, which is why we have the strictest safety protocols of any appliance service company.
- We arrive donning masks and PAPRs (Powered Air Purifying Respirators). These are belt-mounted battery-powered fans that blow filtered air into a sealed full-visor helmet. They are modified to filter the exhaust air through N95 filters (also independent of the healthcare supply).
- We require our customers to wear masks as a condition of service. If a customer is unable to wear a mask for medical reasons we can make a special accommodation such as requiring them to not be present in the same room as us.
- We sanitize all work and appliances surfaces prior to and proceeding the service. We sanitize our payment terminal prior to and proceeding any transactions.
- We are tested for COVID-19 on a bi-weekly basis. We also receive flu shots in preparation for the fall and winter flu and cold season.

Our story
We are Nathan and Bukky and we are a team that met in the Canadian Forces.
When we left the Forces we started a handyman and contracting company. Many customers would ask us to take a look at their appliances, making us realize that we were missing an opportunity. Well before the COVID-19 crisis we’ve seen first-hand how debilitating it can be to have a broken appliance; it’s now devastating in light of this crisis. We wanted to help because we felt we had skills and experience we could put to use to help those who could not afford the high costs of appliance repairs – that’s when we decided that it was time to go on our own and start Appliance Heroes!
